Calls to this number are being diverted, created by Matthew Grouse and produced by Aarhus UngeTonekunstnere is an evening set in an absurd call centre, which aims to expose the surreal, hilarious and chilling in the mundane. Operating at the boundaries of new music, experimental theatre involving audienceparticipation, and interactive installation art, the project’s central themes land on the unsettling musicalityburied in repetitive labour, cold-calling and workplace technology; the psychological effects of hold-music; and existential questions surrounding time, purpose and agency, filtered through a pinch of jet-blackhumour.
